Congress returns from spring recess and is scheduled to hold DOE/NNSA hearings and markups

Congress returns from its two-week spring recess this week, and the appropriations subcommittees in both the House and Senate are expected to start marking up the Fiscal Year 2013 (FY13) appropriations bills.
Spending Bill Mark Ups
The House Energy and Water Appropriations Subcommittee will mark up the FY13 Energy and Water Bill on Wednesday, April 18 at 9:30 AM. The mark up will not be webcast. The meeting notice can be seen here.
The Senate Energy and Water Appropriations Subcommittee is expected to hold its mark up during the week of April 23 or May 7. Nuclear Forces Programs Hearing
On Tuesday, April 17 at 3:00 PM, the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Strategic Forces will hold a hearing, "Fiscal Year 2013 National Defense Budget Request for Atomic Energy Defense Activities and Nuclear Forces Programs."
NNSA Administrator D'Agostino, Senior EM Advisor Huizenga, and DNFSB Chairman Winokur will provide testimony. The hearing will be webcast here. The meeting notice can also be seen at that address.
National Laboratories Hearing
On Wednesday, April 18 at 2:30 PM, the Senate Armed Services Subcommittee on Strategic Forces will hold a hearing, "To receive testimony on National Nuclear Security Administration management of its National Security Laboratories."
