DOE-EM Announces Reorganization
ECA Staff

Yesterday, the following was shared as an EM Fed Cast:

We are pleased to announce the three individuals proposed to lead offices in Associate Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary (APDAS) positions in the proposed Environmental Management (EM) reorganization:

Stacy Charboneau, APDAS for Field Operations
Stacy currently serves as the Manager of the Richland Operations Office (RL) at Hanford, and has more than 20 years of experience managing projects involving nuclear operations, construction, environmental remediation and deactivation and demolition. Her previous positions include RL Deputy Manager and Assistant Manager for Safety and Environment, and Deputy Manager and Chief Operating Officer of the Office of River Protection at Hanford.

Frank Marcinowski, APDAS for Regulatory and Policy Affairs
Frank currently serves as Acting APDAS and as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Waste Management at EM-Headquarters (EM-HQ). Frank has more than 27 years of experience ensuring the safe use, management and oversight of radioactive and nuclear materials, and has extensive expertise in environmental policy development and governmental affairs on a national, regional and local level. His previous experience includes serving as Director of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Radiation Protection Division.

Candice Trummell, APDAS for Corporate Services
Candice currently serves as Deputy Chief of Staff for the Deputy Secretary of Energy, and has nearly 15 years of experience managing critical business functions, communications, stakeholder engagement, and Congressional relations. Her experience has spanned the public and private sectors, including key positions at DOE-HQ and in the field and serving as a County Commissioner for Nye County, Nevada, which is home to the Nevada National Security Site.

These positions are critical to our plans for strengthening EM-HQ oversight and accountability, and for strengthening mission focus by streamlining reporting lines. Upon implementation of the proposed EM reorganization, the Deputy RL Manager, Doug Shoop, will serve as Acting RL Manager.
