CONTRACTING & ACQUISITION No Hanford contracting plan yet, but DOE continues to seek interested companies Tri-City
Herald July 29, 2017 The Department of Energy has yet to release its master plan for new Hanford contracts, but is continuing to ask for information from businesses interested in performing work at the nuclear reservation.

M&O Contract Competition Los Alamos Daily Post July 28,

During WIPP’s recovery phase, resources were
devoted toward making necessary repairs to return the underground portion of the facility to an operational status, but aging infrastructure has not been replaced. WIPP has now been in existence for 35 years. The environment beneath the surface is corrosive, and little maintenance money has been devoted toward improvements to the site’s infrastructure, particularly on the surface. >>Continue reading |
