The Department of Energy plans to issue a draft request for bids for a sitewide services contract for the Hanford nuclear reservation by the end of August.
The new
contract would replace the one held by Mission Support Alliance, which expires May 25, 2019. Mission Support Alliance employs about 1,900 people and holds a 10-year contract valued at about $3 billion.
The new contract would include security and emergency services, land management, information technology, management of the HAMMER training center, and infrastructure maintenance and upgrades, including for electric
service, water and roads.
