ECA Staff | 7/17/2020
The House intends to move quickly on the National Defense Authorization Act beginning Monday.
"Votes are expected as early as 11:30 a.m. Monday (7/20), and I expect Tuesday will have votes on NDAA amendments, motions to recommit, and passage stretching throughout the day," Majority Leader Steny Hoyer told members.
Over 700 amendments were submitted to the House Rules Committee for the NDAA. The Committee will meet today to determine which amendments will be considered on the floor.
Below are the amendments ECA staff have found to relate to DOE and NNSA activities:

Amendment #540 – Walden (OR) - Establishes the Secretary of Energy and Secretary of Defense as co-chairs of the Nuclear Weapons Council (NWC) to provide Cabinet-level visibility and accountability of our nuclear deterrent and the NWC budget process.
